GSA 8(a) STARS II Overview

The 8(a) Streamlined Technology Acquisition Resources for Services (STARS) II GWAC is

is a multiple-award, indefinite-delivery/ indefinite quantity (IDIQ) contract which allows us to provide simple to complex technology services to federal agencies.  It is

designed to promote small business utilization, particularly 8(a) companies, when purchasing information technology (IT) services or IT service-based solutions for the federal government.

STARS II Features

  • Five-year base period (August 31, 2011 to August 30, 2016)
  • One five year option (August 31, 2016 to August 30, 2021)
  • $10 billion program ceiling
  • Directed (non-competitive) task orders up to $4 million
  • Pre-competed, easy to use contract (GSA Ordering Guidelines)
  • Shortened procurement lead time
  • A low user access fee (0.75 percent) built into contractor’s ceiling price
  • Access to multiple types of task orders
